Transportation Ideas and Solutions to Improve Municipal Practices and Tasks

Description: Exploration of technologies for traffic management during roadway incidents, highlighting their impact on roadway safety and congestion reduction. Discussion includes support equipment such as the use of drones, queue warning systems, quick clearance tools, and technologies like Pi-Lit and Lane Blade implemented in Puerto Rico. The role of traffic management centers (TMCs) and their coordination with response agencies is also presented.

EDC-7 Summit: Innovative Technologies for Traffic Incident Management

Description: Focused on next-generation tools for traffic incident response in Puerto Rico, including queue warning systems, Pi-Lit flares, Lane Blade debris removal, and drones for scene assessment. Highlights include the SEGURO highway assistance program, TMC coordination, and the integration of ITS technologies. Emphasis is placed on reducing secondary crashes, improving responder safety, and enhancing operational efficiency through real-time data and strategic deployment.
